Optimization

In order to optimize a room, we need first to better understand what is happening in the room. To do that we use a mathematical representation of the data center : the virtual facility.

The virtual facility is a complete model of the room including the IT equipments and all the settings that are relevant from a thermal engineering point of view.

A model is accurate only if the input data are as close as possible as the reality. Therefore we need to model the exact equipments, configuration, settings of the room and we often need to correct our model based on actual measurements taken in the room.

Using this virtual facility we can understand where the improvements and modifications are required, find the optimal configuration and the correct temperature setting for the room.

This entire process allow us to find the optimal solution for your particular issue at hand.

Support

Providing CFD analysis and optimazing a data center is not always enough. The configuration in your data center may be evolving continuously. Therefore, the optimization done with today's configuration, may be not as efficient when the configuration evolve.

We can support you after an Optimization or Concept Validation project by using the numerical model to follow all the configuration changes and their impact on the energy consumption.

This support allow us to fulfill our goal : reduce your energy consumption now and for the years to come.

Concept validation

The great flexibility of the CFD allows us to compare different design choices really early in the design stage. For instance we can compare in the same room different plenum height and different subfloor configurations to come up with the optimal configuration possible with the data available at this stage.

The great strength of the CFD softwares are also the visualization of the results, allowing to show directly to the end customer why a certain choice has to be made in the design.

Training

We have set up several courses ranging from general trainings to understand what we can do using CFD to more hands on training around software use.

The goal of these trainings is always the same : to improve your capacity to understand and manage your facilities in order to maintain a high level of thermal efficiency.

Simply put, these trainings will help you maintain your energy costs as low as possible.
