Ariolix CFD

Nowadays the information technology is everywhere, visualization and cloud computing are the new trends, in our everyday life as in business. This is a main factor in the rapid growth in the Data Centres industry. More and more data centres are built to accommodate more and more IT equipments, consuming more and more power. The reduction of this energy consumption is becoming an imperative for most companies.

After the IT equipments themselves, air conditioning is the main power consumer in a data centre. We provide a service to optimize the air conditioning system based on a Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) approach. Saving few percents on energy consumption can mean a lot of savings for the customer at the end of the year.

Ariolix CFD provides services that are in line with the goals of data centres operators in terms of cost reduction and in terms of sustainable development.

The total energy consumption in a data center is increasing at an alarming rate. The main cause for this growth is due to the equipments that are more and more powerful and the configuration that is continuously evolving in a data center. Therefore it is incredibly complex to design and manage a data center in order to keep the energy consumption as low as possible.

An evident culprit in energy consumption is the air conditioning system. According to Gartner nearly 40% of the total consumption goes to the air conditioning.

In order to reduce the energy consumption, and also to maintain this consumption at an acceptable level, it is important to understand the physics involved in air flows and air conditioning.

The complexity of the air flows in an enclosed cavity is such, that it is hardly possible to consider all the parameters in an analysis without the help of a CFD software.

Financing incentives and plans

Depending on your project, different incentives and financing solution exist.

It will be difficult to name them all here, but we can help you identify, apply and obtain subvention up to 50% of the analysis cost and 50% or more optimization project costs.

Currently we cover federal programs for Canada and also several provincial and municipal projects. These programs are limited in time and scope, so contact us to discuss the details.
